Boycott

There will be more information on the boycott as we receive it.

In May of 2004 there are a number of students boycotting the MCAS test.

Boycotters stick to their beliefs and are denied a diploma - May 2003

We know of parents in a number of different schools who are planning on boycotting the test.

It is obviously more difficult for 10th grades to boycott currently given the punitive nature of the Department of Education.  Their plans to deny a diploma, and not admit students into state colleges who fail the test and the attempt to put the MCAS scores on student transcripts all are coercive measures designed to punish those students who take a stand by boycotting.
